TO
all teachers, WISH U ALL A
HAPPY TEACHERS' day!!!i shall discuss about teachers as a general:
Teachers have the greatest impact on student learning and achievement, greater than the make-up of the students in the classroom. The significance of teachers tend to be underestimated by many. As a matter of fact, every great man is being gloomed by a teacher. Teachers are thus fundamental to not just our students’ success, but to our society’s success.
Do you know, the amount of power a teacher hold is now greatly controlled and monitored. No longer can teachers wield cane like the olden times, and teachers are also not allowed to scold students!!! What have the world become? In taiwan, the teachers even have to ask the permission of the students before they could scold the students. this is due to fear of getting sued by the parents of the teachers. Is this caused by the modernization of the society, whereby certificates are all that matter, so much that disciple is no longer a decided factor; or is it that the parents do not want their child to suffer like how they did when they were young, getting beaten and scolded by teachers. Is this why students these days are being pampered so much, like how the olden kings used to treat their treasures as their closest kin. Have the parents have no common sense to think that the man that they are now, are groomed by the teachers who discipled them in their process of growing up. it really sets my mind moving, what are students going become in the years to come? imagine a typical classroom fight, and a teacher can no longer do anything about it due to their limited power and almost invisible presence to the students. when i think of this, the only word which come associated with that classroom is the word CHAOS.
i really hope that government should really start pondering about their decision to grant the students that much student rights, and really call for parents to stop pampering their children like three year old kid. this way classrooms will have order brought back to them and teachers can have much better sleep...
p.s.
